I have been in private practice for 12 years.  Since starting my practice, I have worked with thousands of patients on a wide variety of complex conditions. Over the last decade, I've also worked closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to provide complimentary acupuncture treatment for patients suffering from a wide variety of issues, such as chronic pain, migraine, autoimmune conditions, digestive issues, sports injuries, traumatic head injuries and emotional disorders.

My education includes a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of
Acupuncture (TSCA) in New York City.  In 2005, I trained with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) at Lincoln Hospital in New York City.  In 2006, I completed a portion of my practical clinical training in Beijing, China as part of a World Health Organization (WHO) sponsored program at the Beijing Traditional Medicine Training Center of WFAS.  My Master's degree required over 3,000 hours of clinical training in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, as well as Acupuncture Physical Medicine, which integrates classical acupuncture with modern myofascial trigger point therapies.

I hold a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the NCCAOM, earning my national board certification in 2007, and I currently hold a state license to practice acupuncture in Pennsylvania. I am a member in good standing of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) as well as the Association for Professional Acupuncture (APA).

In 2009, I began working with the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Shadyside Campus. In addition to my private practice clinic at CIM, I have also collaborated on several research studies on acupuncture for insomnia and acupuncture for cancer related pain.  I value working in a multi-disciplinary clinic, and enjoy opportunities to collaborate with other practitioners in our center, including physicians, psychologists, medical researchers, chiropractors, fascia therapists and massage therapists, among others.

My patients and clinical experiences continually inspire me to further my knowledge. My most recent studies have been focused on acupuncture treatments for neurological issues, including migraines, nerve damage, and balance disorders.  I've also done significant training in Balance Method Acupuncture and sports medicine acupuncture.

Prior to joining the acupuncture community, I earned my undergraduate degree at the Pennsylvania State University, majoring in Communications and Media Studies. My previous work experience includes over 12 years in marketing positions for both corporations and non-profit organizations.
