Neuro-acupuncture uses both scalp and body acupuncture zones to access the central nervous and endocrine systems. We can also use electro-acupuncture techniques to address any affected nerve pathways. This approach allows us to target the neurological "root" of the problem and improve treatment effectiveness.
If you have tried acupuncture before, our treatments can look very different from traditional acupuncture. We may do neurological, postural and gait assessment to determine your treatment plan and to evaluate your progress. We may choose a combination of scalp, body and ear acupuncture, and add myofascial trigger point releases, Moxa, electro-acupuncture, or other techniques as appropriate for you. You may even be asked to participate by walking, talking or moving an affected limb during the session.
Most importantly, your goals are our goals. We will continually work with you to evaluate your progress and update the treatment plan as needed. We believe in clearly communicating with every patient to make sure you are getting the most out of every session. Our goal is to get you feeling and functioning better, together.
We invite you to read more about the incredible research being performed by experts in the field of NeuroAcupuncture.
